Named as ‘Ad of the Day’ by The Drum, ‘Loved & Wanted’ was created by ad agency McCann London on behalf of The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to reinforce a message of understanding and tolerance. Celebrating our capital’s enduring spirit of respect, unity and togetherness, this project is part of the Mayor’s work to strengthen connections between London's communities, and includes new funding for councils and community organisations across the city. The campaign is accompanied by a £1m package of Government and National Lottery funding to ‘bring communities together’

Sadiq Khan, launching the campaign at Outernet on Valentine's Day. ‘Loved and Wanted’ includes a series of adverts across the capital, in community centres, cultural organisations, libraries, faith buildings, volunteering centres and online over the coming months. Over 110 organisations have joined the initiative, distributing postcards and window stickers to amplify the message.

The Mayor of London said:

“We saw, six months ago, riots taking place across the country in towns and cities. Even though - thankfully - we were spared those, many Londoners felt really scared. What this campaign is about is improving the sense of unity in our great city, making sure everyone, no matter what your background, feels this is a city where you’re loved and wanted."
