Floating Points Brings us on a Hypnotic Audiovisual Journey at HERE at Outernet

What do you get when you mix a musical genius, a live-painting wizard, and a festival-grade sound system? Four sold-out shows that made January feel a lot less blue.

HERE at Outernet played host to an unforgettable multi-sensory experience as Floating Points transformed the venue into a mind-bending audiovisual journey. Sam Shepherd, also known as Floating Points, performed his latest project Cascade delivering deep, pulsating synths and bass-heavy bliss. The show started with harpist Miriam Adefris performing some of Floating Points earlier works before Shepherd hits the stage picking at the lineup of synthesizers. In tandem with audio Akiko Nakayama creates live, reactive visuals known as Alive Paintings; imagine colourful liquid hypnotically swirling in sync with the beats. This was far more than just a gig, it was a full-scale immersion into sound, art, and technology.

The state-of-the-art setup elevated every note, making this one of the most unforgettable performances of the year. If you missed it, keep an eye on upcoming events—because when music, art, and tech collide in this space, magic happens.

Still recovering. Still floating.
