New creative director Jody Malam appoints DBLG as design and branding agency
Outernet Global Ltd has appointed Jody Malam as Creative Director - and multi-award winning design studio DBLG.
Jody and his team will work with DBLG to create a modern, flexible and stylish brand identity that is as effective across Outernet’s unique 200m pixel canvas of screens as it is on web and social. The appointment of Jody and DBLG signifies Outernet’s commitment to creating extraordinary digital moments and content for brands and media partners.

Jody began his career at Sky then Virgin Media before spending nearly a decade at Viacom with MTV. He became Creative Director in 2011 and oversaw channel branding and promotion for its biggest shows. He led Viacom’s major rebrand of Channel 5 which launched in early 2016. He left Viacom at the end of 2018, working on projects between Sydney, LA and London for a variety of clients including Sky, Reach, UKTV, ABC and FX.
DBLG is an award-winning design studio founded in 2007 by Grant Gilbert. The studio has gained international recognition for their diverse range of motion design and brand identity solutions. Working with forward thinking brands, they create innovative and ground-breaking visual communication. Most notably they gained critical acclaim for their work for Channel 4, Adobe, BFI and StudioCanal.
Located in London’s Soho, the Outernet district comprises of two huge immersive public spaces – The Now Building and Now Trending. Each space features 8K, 360-degree floor-to-ceiling screens capable of delivering the most jaw-dropping audio-visual experiences in the world.
