We're marking our first anniversary with over six million visitors! This makes Outernet both London's most visited attraction and one of the most visited attractions in the UK. Our annual average visitor figures stand at 6,252,356 million in our flagship space The Now Building. The Now Building features 23,000 square feet of screens accompanied by a state of the art concert level audio system, showcasing immersive exhibitions and experiences for the public – all completely free.
The annual average visitor figures put Outernet ahead of long established destinations including The British Museum and Natural History Museum according to the most recent figures released by ALVA (Association of Leading Visitor Attractions):
1. The Crown Estate, Windsor Great Park, Berkshire - 5,636,844
2. Natural History Museum 4,654,608
3. The British Museum - 4,097,253
We have preserved and enhanced the heritage of the area working closely with local businesses and communities, and along with our immersive screen experiences we've brought in three new music venues including the 2000 capacity HERE at Outernet - the largest venue to open in central London since the 1940s.
We've worked with many leading creative and cultural organisations over the last year including Ridley Scott, Royal College of Art, National Trust, Serpentine Gallery, The BRIT Awards and Abbey Road Studios.
We've also provided a platform for brands to engage with consumers in a way never previously possible. Brands that have worked with Outernet include Netflix, L’Oréal, Marc Jacobs, Uniqlo, Burberry, YouTube, TripAdvisor, Peugeot, Amazon, Xbox, Meta and many more.
Philip O’Ferrall, President and CEO Outernet said:
“In just one year we are so thrilled to have reached this record level of visitor numbers. Outernet was and remains something that is new and boundary pushing and with that comes both great excitement but equally risk. To have been able to show all our free immersive experience and exhibitions events alongside a huge range of brands choosing to advertise with us is something we are all very proud of.”
