Campaign to ‘save our venues’ raises £1m
Music venues crowdfunding to survive Coronavirus.
A campaign by the Music Venue Trust named #saveourvenues has raised more than £1m to support grassroots music venues across the UK.
Many of the 500 venues which face permanent closure due to the pandemic are in London, including Soho’s ‘Ain’t Nothin But,’ ‘Jazz after Dark’ and Earl’s Court’s ‘Troubadour’.
The Evening Standard has compiled a list of music venues and nightclubs which are fundraising online whether as part of #saveourvenues or independently.
